VERDEGO was approached by Junkfood Clothing’s parent company, Lua + Sol, to assist with their office move to a 18,000 SF space in Culver City. Having several high-end clients with top secret projects, the office was divided into private offices, client branded offices, cubicles and communal gathering spaces all keeping in mind the design direction - masculine outdoors.
Working with the skeletons of the existing corporate office space, VERDEGO partnered up with the Lua + Sol team to brand the building simultaneously as they were branding their new company. The materials chosen were set to match with their subtle color range of: black, charcoal, taupe and white.
VERDEGO was tasked to modernize the building by giving the current structure a face list. This was done by adding vertical black stained wood siding in the entry and accent office walls, removing unneeded tile and carpet and replacing it with polished concrete and sleek carpet tiles, painting all walls and surfaces and reworking the interior and exterior planters. In addition, VERDEGO had worked on all furniture, custom, bought and existing to make the massive space feel more like a cozy man cave. Custom breakout tables were made of euro plywood with white powder coated steel bases for the kitchen and communal areas, custom maple plywood table tops were designed for private offices, a 18 person europlywood meeting table was custom built and custom black stained benches and Sunbrella cushions were places inside and outside the kitchen area.
